2021 Nominees for Board of Directors
Rita Deibler - Rita serves on the Board of Directors here at Riverwalk as Vice President of Production and enjoys the occasional stage manager role throughout the various Lansing community theatres. Through her work as VP over the past few years, she has led the Board through artistic changes that have increased diversity and inclusion while growing attendance at shows.
Darrin Fowler – Darrin is currently on the Riverwalk Board and serves on the Executive Committee. Darrin has been an active member of the theatre community, sharing not only his administrative and legal skills, but also his talent as an actor, director and positive ambassador in support of all.
Leon Green- Leon designed sound for several recent Riverwalk Theatre shows and is a regular contributor to maintaining the building and working in the Scene Shop. He is a sound engineer/audio technician and all-around volunteer. Leon is a member of the Riverwalk Board and serves on our Tech Committee.
Sarah Hayner-Sarah has been performing in the Greater Lansing area for over 10 years and loves this vibrant and talented community. She also serves on Riverwalk’s Board of Directors and directed Hairspray in season 30. Over the past two years, Sarah has co-chaired the Riverwalk Volunteer Resources workgroup.
Amanda Macomber-Amanda started costuming in high school for school shows. After high school she took a very long break, until her daughter got her back into theater. A year later she was asked to be the head costumer on a show, and the rest, they say, is history! Amanda has costumed shows at several area schools, for multiple shows at Riverwalk, Great Escape Theater, and The Revue.
Scott Pohl-Scott is a reporter at WKAR-FM, MSU’s NPR station. He has been working for WKAR since 1984. Previously, he was employed by the Michigan News Network, WFMK, WKHM in Jackson and WALM in Albion. A member of the Riverwalk Theatre Board of Directors, Scott has appeared onstage and worked backstage on multiple shows and contributed to the Promotions and Engagement workgroup.
Julian Van Dyke- Julian serves as artist and vice president at the newly opened Keys to Creativity, located at the Lansing Mall. He is a teaching artist, and in 2015 he was selected to participate in the Arts Council of Greater Lansing's Artists-in-Residence program. In addition to painting, he has also authored several children's books and appeared onstage most recently in Riverwalk Theatre's productions of “Sweat” and “Bud, Not Buddy”.
