Black Box Staged Readings |
| With the Black Box newly completed at Riverwalk Theatre, a series of staged readings is scheduled for the 2009/2010 season. New plays by local playwrights and new directors gaining experience have an audience in an intimate setting, a place that gives the Lansing theater community somewhere to try a just finished script and give the Riverwalk audience a chance to talk back to the author. Staged readings are free and set for 7:00pm on Sunday nights. Because of the abundance of full productions year round at Riverwalk, there are only four staged readings scheduled this season, but future years may offer more. |

November 8th starts with "SISTERS," about a young opera singer at the beginning of a promising career, a theme we hope resonates at the start of the Black Box. |
| Dec. 20, 2009 |
December 20th, will showcase "LIARS" by Professor David Bailey of MSU's History Department. |

March 7th is to be announced |
| May 23, 2010 |
May23rd will see Brad Rutledge moving from actor to playwight with a new script. |
